StackTrack

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 14, 2026 ยท Applies to StackTrack for iPhone, StackTrack Web (web.stacktrackapp.app) and StackTrack for Android

The short version: StackTrack does not collect, store or transmit any personal information. Everything you enter stays on your own device. There is no account, no sign-in and no server of ours that ever sees your holdings.

What StackTrack stores, and where

The holdings you enter (metal, type, weight, quantity, what you paid, purchase date and currency), your display preferences, and a cache of recent prices are stored only on your device:

We have no access to this data. If you export a backup or CSV, that file is created on your device and goes only where you send it. Deleting the app, or clearing your browser data, deletes this information.

What StackTrack does not do

Third-party services used for prices and news

To show live prices, exchange rates and headlines, the app requests public data from the services below. These requests come from your device and include only the standard information any web request carries (such as your IP address); they never include your holdings.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. StackTrack sends them nothing about you or your stack.

Permissions

The web and Android apps may ask for permission to save or open a file only when you choose to export or import a backup or CSV. No other permissions are requested.

Children

StackTrack is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated. Because the app collects nothing, changes will typically only describe new data sources.
